After weeks of wet weather the rain stopped long enough for 21 teams to contest the 21st running of the annual golf day. The Barton on Sea course was in amazing condition, given the battering it has received this winter, but a testing Barton breeze added a few shots to the standard scratch. The team scores were well down on last year but The Havana Club (John Marsh, Matt King, Kevin Plank and Darren Reeks) made light work of the conditions to storm home with 128 points. Fittingly the event’s sponsor (Everton Garage) finished 2nd with 125 points and the Bashley Bandits (John Neal, Steve Wilson, Paul Conway and Paul Drake) took the last podium position with 121 points.
The Havana Club are seen receiving their prizes from John Willson of Everton Garage.
