With the cricket season drawing to a close, Bashley Junior cricketers gathered to look back on another successful year for the Juniors. The weather wasn’t as co-operative as previous years for photo opportunities, but spirits and enthusiasm in the Clubhouse were high !
We were delighted to welcome back the Representatives of the Rotary Club of New Milton to present the awards to the Juniors, along with a 1st Team Captain, Michael Porter.
Awards this year went to:

This year, a special extra presentation was made. George Pardoe  (Bashley U15 & Hampshire County) had been given  brand new cricket bag at the Bunbury Cricket Festival earlier this summer. He wanted to present it as an encouragement  to an U9 player starting out in their cricket development, and the presentation was made to a very happy Oliver Webb
Girls : This year, the girls squad members were all presented with a mini bat to collect autographs.
We currently have a squad of around 12 girls who have played in the matches, with a huge range of experience from complete new-comer to district players. To reflect the development of this group, we wanted every player to receive a token
The bats were presented to the girls by Chloe-Ann Anderson, who was in turn presented with a  mini bat autographed by the England ladies team in recognition of her completing her 3rd season playing within the Bashley 5th Team.

The U11s have regularly needed to use players from the U9s to boost numbers, and it is significant to note that the bowling award was shared by 2 players who are still 8 Years old – and showing huge potential !

The U13s had a very successful season, finishing top of the South League, and narrowly missing out in the final over of becoming overall league winners in their league final against Michelmersh & Timsbury

Another highly successful season for the Bashley Juniors.
We are delighted that Juniors from the U15s, U14s and U13s who have regularly played within the Senior Squads on Saturdays.
We are also pleased at the enthusiasm and number of players from the U13s through to the U19s who have represented Bashley in the U19 T20 Cup, and the number of players who have now become involved in coaching the younger Juniors
Well done to all our awards players, and to all our juniors for a great league season.
Thank you to all the managers, coaches, grounds staff, and to the parents who help our managers with umpiring, scoring, tea making, subs collecting, etc etc…. we couldn’t do it without you !
