The U19s have won a local Derby, re-scheduled from earlier in the season. With the match reduced to 17 overs for the evening due to light, Bashley won the toss and elected to bat first.
Bashley openers P.Lewis ( 50 retired) and M.Clark (48) batted consistently, with W. Taylor (48 not out) when Lewis retired. The first wicket fell in the 15th over for Sway’s B. Varney ( 3 for 29 from 3overs), who took a further 2 wickets in the final over including a catch for young D.Elford. Bashley 169/3
In reply, Sway’s captain N.Brien fell prey to T. Harris ( caught J.Gaunt) for 9. Great batting followed from opener O.Marshall (43) and V.Falso (36), both of whom fell to Bashley skipper S.Laurent ( both caught on the boundary by J.Edmunds). J.Edmunds went on to take 2 wickets himself and a further catch from the bowling of J.Gaunt in the final over
