Both Langley Manor and Bashley U16, with byes due to teams dropping out of both New Forest North & South leagues found themselves with a fixture-free Sunday, and arranged an additional, friendly fixture. With friends and team members from both the Hampshire RPC U 14 and U15 squads meeting each other in a club fixture, banter and spirits were high ! Bashley all bowled extremely well, with wickets for Katie Harding ( 2 for 13 from 2 overs), Jake Yapp ( 3 for 3 off 2 overs), Joel Hood ( 3 for 4 off 2 overs), plus a wicket for Simon Cooper and a run out on the final ball of the innings left Langley on 77 all out
In reply, Bashley kept up the pressure – Tom Hayward Cox opened the batting and reached 22 before being bowled by T. Garner. J. Harris reached 19 before being caught by D. Munday, and with scores tied requiring 1 to win, T Mills found the boundary for 4 to clinch the match.
A great match, played in great spirit, between a lot of friends and Rpc team mates
